Manifesto

Since the time man was blessed and punished to contemplate his being, and doing so actually became the Homo sapiens and unique as a species in the known universe, since then he struggles in all his actions for meaning.

In art also, the curse of sense and importance lurks below the surface of the “inutile”, from the cave drawings to the naked Maya to Duchamps' urinal.

Man is a senseless coincidence who circles a sun like a piece of intergalactic driftwood for a fraction of a cosmic second, desperately struggling to make sense of the nonsense between birth and death.

The Association des Maîtres de Rien recognizes that there is no sense in being, and lives by nonsense and insignificance.
